As we step into the new year, we reflect on the whirlwind that was 2023 – a fantastic year for business at Property Peddler Inc. The numbers we achieved in 2023 closely rivaled those of 2021, and in some areas, we even surpassed them. It was a busy year, a complete roller coaster, and most importantly, a year filled with invaluable lessons.
A significant milestone in 2023 was the 5th anniversary of Brad and Brenda Chandler’s departure from a company where Brenda was one of the founding members. They made the bold choice to venture into something different within the realms of auctions and real estate. This decision led them to establish the Property Peddler Auction and Real Estate group, initially aligning with a nationwide company. However, they soon realized that an independent approach better suited their end goals. Now, as we embark on 2024, it marks the 5th year of Property Peddler Inc – Real Estate & Auction.
Excitingly, the year starts with a team of 10 agents. We’re thrilled to announce the addition of 5 brokers from Marion County, IL, who joined us from the Jeff Dunahee Office. Jeff, after a long and successful career in real estate, has retired, and we extend our gratitude to him. Our team continues to grow, and we’re thankful for both new additions and the ongoing dedication of existing members.
Looking ahead to 2024, we aim to replicate the success of our consignment auction schedule from 2023, commencing in March on the 2nd Tuesday of odd months (March, May, July, September, November). Consignments will be accepted from February onwards, and we encourage you to schedule an appointment with Chris Green, our Personal Property Auction Coordinator, for drop-offs.
Early in 2024, we’re thrilled to present a Militaria & War Memorabilia Auction from the Estate of Edward Lee Harden.
The Real Estate Auction Calendar for 2024 is already brimming with exciting events. From the Jackson County Land Auction at the end of January to the Storage buildings in Randolph County selling in March, we are enthusiastic about developing this aspect of our business further. In 2023, we successfully hosted various auctions, ranging from online-only to live and online, incorporating factors like choice auctions with an online component, multi-par, and single tract auctions.
